Mission Township Fire Department is an All-Hazards Fire Department. This means that we do not just respond to fire calls, but also: Emergency Medical, Hazardous Materials, Building Collapse, Severe Storms, Search & Rescue, and any Civil Emergency. MTFD employs (25) Fire/EMS personnel, five who are Overnight Duty Crew. All firefighters are required to be MN State Certified at the Firefighter II level and hold at a minimum Emergency Medical Responder certification: (6) Emergency Medical Technician, (19) Emergency Medical Responders.

Fire/Safety Inspections: MTFD has staff who are state certified as fire inspector and can inspect your commercial or residential property. Different types of inspections include:
- Home safety survey. Walking through your home, developing fire escape plans, and practicing these plans with your family.
- Wildland fire safety inspection. Checking your property for wildfire concerns and recommending any changes.
- Existing residential or commercial fire code inspection.
- New building or renovation fire code plan review.
CPR/First Aid Classes: MTFD staff are certified to teach CPR and First Aid certification classes. Please watch the township calendar for these FREE training events.
Blood Pressure Clinics: MTFD staff provides blood pressure checks for any citizen, often times we open the fire hall and invite people in to get theirs checked. Check the township calendar for information on these events.
Fire Extinguisher Training: MTFD staff are certified to train you and/or your staff on proper fire extinguisher use.
Fire Investigations. MTFD are trained to conduct fire investigations and often times assist the MN State Fire Marshal for any fire events in our coverage area.
